Devastation on the Delaware Third Edition

September 10, 2015

Devastation on the Delaware pulls the reader into events of the flood of ‘55  with a richly detailed narrative style. For this 60th anniversary edition, we were inspired by vintage photos and albums from the 50’s. The cover is stained with muddy water to reflect the devastation of the flood. This look of this cover was designed for use […]

Serenity Day Spa Collateral

September 10, 2015

Serenity Day Spa needed materials to capture elegance and tropical luxury. For the backgrounds, I used luminous foliage on a faded green background to mimic the soft lighting in Serenity Day Spa. The parchment texture behind content gave these materials a subtle background light enough for legible type. Serenity Day Spa also required a website and trade show materials.

Serenity Day Spa Trade Show Materials

September 10, 2015

Serenity Day Spa required a subtle, elegant look in their trade show banner and posters. The luminous foliage and soft green textures showed this spa’s tropical luxury and maintained consistency with the rest of the branded materials and website. Large photographs and logos were used for maximum visibility at a distance. Serenity Day Spa also required collateral materials and a website.

Through Frankie’s Eyes

March 10, 2013

For this book interior layout, author and publisher Barbara Techel of Joyful Paws, required a legible, clean look above all else. To enhance the message within the book, the author asked for us to incorporate photos into the chapter pages. A vintage style photo frame (also used for the Joyful Paws website) was used to add […]

Jazz Festival

July 27, 2011

The art director wanted imagery that would capture attention in a busy hallway and communicate the event’s energy and fun to viewers. I expressed the vigor of jazz through the impact of large instruments bleeding off the page, bold color and flat, simple shapes.

Devastation on the Delaware Second Edition

July 27, 2011

9/10/2015: Click here to view the third edition design for Devastation on the Delaware. Devastation on the Delaware pulls the reader into events of the flood of ‘55  with a richly detailed narrative style. I reflected this in the cover design by showing a dramatic scene of a home being swept away by the muddy water. Photographs […]

Save Trees. Recycle.

July 27, 2011

For this poster, my art director needed a design that would reflect the importance and benefits of recycling paper. I chose to work with a simple, clean look to emphasize the straight-forwardness of the message and to show that there is no reason not to recycle, since it is so easy.

Chili Cookoff

July 27, 2011

This event was all about the spicy kick. To attract viewers, I chose a vibrant color palette to grab attention. Large, bold shapes that are too big to be contained in the image area evoke a huge good time and big taste during the “chili” fall weather.

Frankie’s Coloring Book

July 27, 2011

Frankie the Walk ‘N Roll Dog inspires children and adults to, “Always be positive, make a difference, and keep on rolling!” This coloring book featured an existing illustration of Frankie to reflect the look of the previously published story books. On the paper doll dog pages I used those same bright, bold colors and illustration styles […]
